One unidentified militant killed, Cop, Army man injured in Kulgam gunfight | KNO

Kulgam, February 24 (KNO): A militant was killed while a cop and an Army man have sustained injuries in an ongoing encounter that broke between forces and militants in Turigam village of South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Sunday afternoon. Official sources told KNO that one unidentified militants has been killed in an encounter this7 afternoon. They added that a cop and an Amry man got wounded during the gunfight who were rushed for medical attention. Earlier, the gunfight broke out this afternoon in Kulgam village after forces launched search operations in the village following specific inputs about the presence of militants there. The search party was fired upon by the hiding militants during the search operation in the village, which was retaliated, thus leading to an encounter, they said. They added two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area, saying that operation was going on. However, they said one unidentified militants has been killed while as the operation was going on. (KNO)
